What are the tests included in the Premium Wellbeing Blood Profile Test package?
- The calcium blood test measures the amount of calcium in your blood. If there is a low level of calcium or a higher level, it may be a sign of a wide range of medical conditions, such as bone disease, thyroid disease, kidney disease, and other conditions.
- A CRP Blood Test measures the amount of C-Reactive Protein in your blood.
- D Dimer test is used to help identify blood clotting problems. If the results of a D Dimer blood test are positive there might be a chance of a recent blood clot formation and other serious issues. This D Dimer test checks for a small protein being part of fibrin degradation products (FDPs).
- The Full Blood Count Test provides information about the health of cells in the blood, including red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Blood it’s composed of a variety of living cells that circulate through the heart. It contains three main components, red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets.
- An iron test shows the levels of this mineral in your system. If the results show anaemia (iron deficiency) or iron overload (iron excess), Blood Test London will recommend seeing one of our specialists.
- A Ferritin Blood Test is used to measure the amount of Ferritin within your blood. Ferritin is a protein inside of blood which stores iron. Testing for Ferritin helps your doctor understand how much iron your body can store.
- The Thyroxine or T4 blood test shows the amount of this hormone in your blood, and if there’s too little T4 in your blood, it can result in thyroid disease.
- A glycosylated hemoglobin test is used to measure the amount of blood sugar (glucose) around hemoglobin. Hemoglobin is a component of the blood’s red cells that carries oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body.
- A liver function test checks the levels of certain enzymes and other proteins in your blood. The test looks for enzymes that you’d find in your blood only when your liver is damaged or has a disease or it looks at how well the organ is working.
- A TSH blood test shows how much of this hormone is in your blood, whether it’s overactive (hyperthyroidism) or underactive (hypothyroidism). It also detects a thyroid disorder before symptoms may appear.
- A urea and electrolytes blood test is used to confirm the kidney works properly or to show if there is an imbalance of biochemical salts. A diverse number of conditions may be detected in the urea and electrolytes blood test in parameters of low or high sodium, potassium, bicarbonate, glucose, and others.
