SelectedThe Endocrinology Test is an advanced hormone profile assessing the function of the thyroid gland and reproductive hormone system together. It provides a broad overview of how the endocrine system regulates metabolism, fertility, mood, energy, and sexual health.
This panel includes:
• TSH, Free T4, Free T3
• Anti-Thyroglobulin (Anti-Tg) and Anti-TPO antibodies
• Oestradiol, FSH, LH, Progesterone, Prolactin
• Testosterone, SHBG, Globulin, Free Androgen Index (FAI)
By combining thyroid markers with reproductive and sex hormones, this test helps identify complex hormonal imbalances that may not be detected when testing systems separately.
Hormones from the thyroid, ovaries, testes, and pituitary gland work together. When one area is out of balance, it often affects others. This test is useful when symptoms are broad, unclear, or involve multiple body systems.
Reasons for testing include:
• Persistent fatigue or low energy
• Weight gain or difficulty losing weight
• Irregular menstrual cycles or fertility issues
• Low libido or sexual dysfunction
• Hair thinning or hair loss
• Anxiety, mood swings, or brain fog
• Menopause or perimenopause symptoms
• Suspected PCOS or androgen imbalance
• Family history of thyroid or endocrine disease
• Unexplained hormonal symptoms
This panel helps uncover root hormonal causes rather than testing individual hormones in isolation.
Assesses thyroid and reproductive hormones together.
Antibody testing identifies Hashimoto’s and Graves’ disease.
Evaluates ovulation and hormone regulation.
Shows hormonal transition patterns.
Useful for both men and women.
FAI and testosterone patterns support diagnosis.
Hormone imbalance often underlies these issues.
Provides a complete hormonal picture for targeted care.
Expanded benefit explanation
Endocrine disorders often present with overlapping symptoms. Testing multiple hormone systems together provides a clearer picture and allows more accurate diagnosis and management.

Low thyroid or sex hormone levels may indicate gland underactivity or hormonal suppression.
Typical UK ranges:
• TSH: 0.4–4.0 mIU/L
• Free T4: 9–24 pmol/L
• Free T3: 3.1–6.8 pmol/L
• Testosterone:
Men: ~8–30 nmol/L
Women: ~0.5–2.6 nmol/L
Low levels may contribute to fatigue, weight gain, fertility issues, and low libido.
Hormones fall within expected ranges for age and sex.
Interpretation:
Endocrine function appears balanced.
Elevated hormone or antibody levels may indicate endocrine or autoimmune dysfunction.
Possible findings:
• Positive Anti-TPO or Anti-Tg indicating thyroid autoimmunity
• High prolactin affecting fertility
• High testosterone suggesting androgen excess or PCOS
• Low TSH with high thyroid hormones indicating hyperthyroidism
Interpretation:
Further endocrine evaluation may be recommended.

WhatsApp UsFollow these guidelines for accurate results
Where possible, attend your blood test between 7am and 12pm. Please wait until any short-term illness or infection has fully resolved before testing. Avoid intense exercise for 24–48 hours beforehand, as this can affect certain markers.
Fasting is not always required, but some tests may recommend it. If fasting is advised, avoid food for 8–12 hours before your appointment and drink water only. Stay well hydrated, as this helps with sample collection and accuracy.
Continue prescribed medications unless advised otherwise by your clinician. Avoid vitamin, mineral, or biotin supplements for at least 24–48 hours before your test, as these can interfere with results. If you are unsure about any medication or supplement, please let us know before your appointment.
For hormone-related tests, timing within your menstrual cycle may be important. If relevant, follow any specific guidance provided on your test page.
If you have any questions or special circumstances, our team is happy to advise before your appointment.
