SelectedThe Sports Performance panel is a comprehensive blood and urine profile designed to assess the physiological systems that directly influence stamina, recovery, muscle function, hormonal balance, and nutritional status.
It combines:
• Full Blood Count (oxygen delivery and immune health)
• Advanced heart health and inflammation markers
• Kidney and electrolyte balance for hydration and performance
• Liver function for metabolic efficiency
• Iron status and ferritin for oxygen transport
• Muscle damage markers (CK, CK-MB, Myoglobin)
• Thyroid and stress hormones (TSH, FT3, FT4, Cortisol, DHEA-S)
• Male and female hormone markers affecting strength and recovery
• Vitamin D, B12, folate and antioxidant status
• Full urinalysis for hydration and kidney clues
This test helps identify internal factors limiting performance or slowing recovery.
Training harder does not always mean performing better. Fatigue, slow recovery, muscle soreness, and plateaued performance are often linked to internal deficiencies or hormonal imbalance.
Reasons for testing include:
• Slow recovery after workouts
• Persistent fatigue despite training
• Muscle soreness lasting days
• Reduced endurance or stamina
• Frequent minor injuries
• Hydration or cramping issues
• Suspected iron or vitamin deficiency
• Monitoring hormonal optimisation
• Tracking training impact on the body
Expanded benefit explanation
Performance is influenced by blood health, hormones, inflammation, hydration, and nutrition. This panel identifies what may be limiting progress so adjustments can be made scientifically.
We offer two UK-wide testing options:

Low iron, B12, vitamin D, testosterone, or thyroid hormones may explain fatigue and poor recovery.
Body systems appear optimised for performance and recovery.
Raised CK, CRP, cortisol, or uric acid may indicate overtraining, inflammation, or stress load.

WhatsApp UsFollow these guidelines for accurate results
Where possible, attend your blood test between 7am and 12pm. Please wait until any short-term illness or infection has fully resolved before testing. Avoid intense exercise for 24–48 hours beforehand, as this can affect certain markers.
Fasting is not always required, but some tests may recommend it. If fasting is advised, avoid food for 8–12 hours before your appointment and drink water only. Stay well hydrated, as this helps with sample collection and accuracy.
Continue prescribed medications unless advised otherwise by your clinician. Avoid vitamin, mineral, or biotin supplements for at least 24–48 hours before your test, as these can interfere with results. If you are unsure about any medication or supplement, please let us know before your appointment.
For hormone-related tests, timing within your menstrual cycle may be important. If relevant, follow any specific guidance provided on your test page.
If you have any questions or special circumstances, our team is happy to advise before your appointment.
