Details about Tired All the Time
What is the Tired All The Time test?
The Tired All The Time panel is designed to identify hidden medical reasons for persistent fatigue. Tiredness is often linked to thyroid imbalance, iron deficiency, vitamin deficiencies, metabolic issues, or low-grade inflammation.
This profile includes:
• Full Blood Count (FBC)
• Kidney health (creatinine, eGFR, electrolytes, magnesium)
• Iron studies (ferritin, iron, TIBC, transferrin, saturation)
• Diabetes markers (glucose, HbA1c, insulin)
• Nutritional markers (B12, folate, vitamin D, calcium, albumin)
• Thyroid panel with antibodies (TSH, Free T3, Free T4, Anti-TPO, Anti-Tg)
• Inflammation marker (CRP)
This combination targets the most frequent biological causes of low energy.
Why do I need this test?
Fatigue is one of the most common symptoms seen in clinical practice, yet the cause is often overlooked without proper testing.
Reasons for testing include:
• Constant tiredness despite sleep
• Brain fog and poor concentration
• Hair thinning or hair loss
• Weight gain or difficulty losing weight
• Low mood or motivation
• Cold intolerance
• Dizziness or weakness
• Pale skin
• Frequent illness
• Poor recovery after illness
This test helps pinpoint whether fatigue is hormonal, nutritional, metabolic, inflammatory, or kidney-related.
Benefits of the test
1. Identifies iron deficiency and anemia
2. Detects thyroid imbalance and autoimmune thyroid disease
3. Assesses vitamin B12, folate, and vitamin D levels
4. Evaluates blood sugar and insulin resistance
5. Detects low-grade inflammation
6. Checks kidney-related fatigue causes
7. Evaluates mineral balance and magnesium
8. Provides targeted insight into fatigue causes
Expanded benefit explanation
Fatigue rarely has a single cause. This panel evaluates multiple systems together to uncover the root contributors rather than treating symptoms blindly.

Your results explained
Low levels
Low iron, B12, folate, vitamin D, or thyroid hormones commonly explain fatigue.
Normal levels
Fatigue may have non-blood-related causes requiring further assessment.
High levels
Raised CRP, glucose, insulin, or abnormal thyroid antibodies may indicate inflammation, insulin resistance, or autoimmune thyroid disease.

Follow these guidelines for accurate results
Sample Timing
Where possible, attend your blood test between 7am and 12pm. Please wait until any short-term illness or infection has fully resolved before testing. Avoid intense exercise for 24–48 hours beforehand, as this can affect certain markers.
Fasting & Hydration
Fasting is not always required, but some tests may recommend it. If fasting is advised, avoid food for 8–12 hours before your appointment and drink water only. Stay well hydrated, as this helps with sample collection and accuracy.
Medications & Supplements
Continue prescribed medications unless advised otherwise by your clinician. Avoid vitamin, mineral, or biotin supplements for at least 24–48 hours before your test, as these can interfere with results. If you are unsure about any medication or supplement, please let us know before your appointment.
Hormones & Menstrual Cycle
For hormone-related tests, timing within your menstrual cycle may be important. If relevant, follow any specific guidance provided on your test page.
If you have any questions or special circumstances, our team is happy to advise before your appointment.
